  Welcome!

Since he started performing professionally as a young teen in his home state of Minnesota, Mark now has nearly three decades of nightclub and casino showroom entertainment ‘under his belt.’ Touring nationwide with many various acts in the ‘80s such as Affair, Karmann Goldwyn, and Sammy’s Fortune, he has developed a diverse and eclectic mix of musical tastes and comedic influences. In 1990 he performed three shows nightly main stage as the male lead vocalist in the grand opening of Trump’s Taj Mahal, Atlantic City, NJ.

His passion for the stage has encouraged him to share his talents and experience by coaching and training other performers. One year after producing The Mark and Tina Show, the duo made the cover of Vegas Visitor Magazine for their headlining appearance at The Riviera Hotel and Casino in 1996. His comedic style of bawdy piano bar fun had Las Vegas agents calling on him for help to open and create one of the world’s most successful dueling piano bars ever at New York New York Hotel and Casino in 1997 where he again blasted out three shows a night.

In 1998 Mark helped open Duet, Westwood, CA, a dueling piano nightclub owned by Tom Selleck. He then teamed up with David Charles in Minnesota and created Deuces Wild Dueling Pianos, a show that sold out nationwide for five years. Performing in nightclubs, casino showrooms, ballrooms and special events, they created a demand that would bring them to the 2002 Winter Olympics – Salt Lake City, UT where they performed several shows nightly through the month of February. Giving back to the Minnesota community that helped them grow, they helped raise over sixty thousand dollars for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota in a charity fundraiser at The Saint Cloud Civic Center, MN. In October of 2002, just before Mark decided to leave winter behind and move to the southwest, Deuces Wild was the opening act for Dennis Miller. In 2003 Mark Performed dueling pianos at Harrah’s, San Diego, and remained a key player at Harrah’s, Las Vegas and New York New York. His performance at Harrah’s, Las Vegas helped the show win an award in What’s On Magazine for one of the top lounge acts in Las Vegas for 2004. Also, in 2004 he opened for Starship and Friends at the San Diego Convention Center and helped add T.I. (Treasure Island) to the Las Vegas list of dueling piano venues.

In 2005 Mark met with Producer Gary Rafanelli in Reno, NV. Mark is currently assisting with the operations of the company that Gary owns, Counterpoint Consulting, Inc. Performing in many of the venues and handling all of the booking and administrative duties has made for an educational and successful couple of years! The venues have included the long time successful dueling piano bar Rum Bullions at The Silver Legacy, Reno, NV and Royal Caribbean cruise ships. Currently many night club venues have been added and Counterpoint Consulting, Inc. is booking Piano Entertainers for Holland America Cruise Line.

Jeff Martin is one of the many talented people I have worked with (for over 15 years!)  Jeff and I perform dueling pianos together almost every Friday and Saturday in Reno at Rum Bullions in Reno.  The local ABC news channel invited us to be their featured guests on the morning show.  We had a blast on the set (hard to imagine starting at 5 am…)  Great cast and crew, and the morning anchor (Ann Cutler) is super cute…   Click on Photo Gallery (at left) to see some pics.

Many years of greatly diversified entertaining has given Mark the ability to give a top-notch performance for any type of venue. From the rowdiest and raunchiest of night club shows to the sophisticated black-tie affair, he has proven his ability to always give a product that is specifically tailored to the environment that requests it.
